wow, haven't posted anything in awhile. so anyways, today I went to the bodies exhibition in Rosslyn, VA today with a bunch of other homeschool kids from our group. OMG IT WAS SO COOL! I would definitely recommend going there if you can. and hurry, 'cause the display is on tour and they're going somewhere else in october I think. anyways, so we go in and the first thing our guide tells us is please don't touch the displays. all of us are like "why would we WANT to touch them?" so anyways, then she explained that when they first got a body they would dissect it for whatever certain display, then they would put it in something that extracts all the water out of the cells, then puts it in a polymer substance that replaces the water, and after they do finish ups on dissecting they harden the entire thing with UV lights and stuff. dude, when you look at it it doesn't even look like it was from a real person, it looks more like it was made of plastic or something. anyways, had lots of fun. church retreat coming up this weekend! can't wait! unfortunetly, that means I'm gonna miss the first rehearsal for GCC . then we're coming back on sunday for chinese school Chieftan starts next week, and already I have homework for all my classes. grrrrrrrrr HST carwash coming up, I'll try to post something about that later see ya oh yeah and we're trying to coordinate another pool party for Sr. troupe this month for all members from last year and all our new members. we're thinking the 22. I'll get details soon. |
